Umbreen Bhatti is the host and producer of Kaleidoscope: Reflections On Islam, an Abbasi Program-sponsored podcast that explores how people engage with Islam today. Formerly, she was the co-founder of a project that demystified Islam and Islamic law for American news audiences. While a 2014 John S. Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford, she created a tool to help local TV journalists identify and tell underreported stories about people's experiences with the American legal system. In addition to these efforts, Umbreen serves as a member of the advisory board for Religion Dispatches, an online publication that brings important, critical perspectives to discussions about religion in the public square, and shares her own voice on Twitter at @ub14.
