Solidarity in Response to the Earthquake and the Humanitarian Crisis in Morocco

The devastation and loss of life caused by Friday's earthquake in Morocco weigh heavily on our hearts. With a reported loss of 2,900 lives and 5,500 injuries, along with the collapse of historic structures and homes, the situation is profoundly saddening. 

On behalf of the staff and affiliates of the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies and The Mediterranean Studies Forum, we extend our deepest condolences to the members of our community who have lost loved ones in Morocco. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragic event, and we stand in unwavering solidarity with them during these challenging times.
